Done:
Breakfast:
Lunch:
- Slept from ~0000h to 0630h (~ 6.5 hrs)
- Couldn’t go back to sleep. Hopefully it’ll be an early night tonight.
- Responding to mathmeth
- Breakfast
- Chat with Janine
- Played through Weber and now Così
- Observation: I’ve found it difficult to make the sigh-fermatas in Il core vi dono effective on the piano, because they really need to end with a slight sigh-push-breath of intensity that is only possible with voice and strings! So to emulate that on the piano I really need to let the singers lead into those beats, and delay my attack ever so slightly on the piano to give the illusion of crescendo.
- Played through Arpeggione — oh my puppies
- Terina and Carol
- Shopping (lettuce, celery, red onion, horseradish, roast beef, grapes, 90% Lindt chocolate)
- Lunch
- Listened, played, read — though I probably should have read more.
- Chatting with Josh Greene
- TV and Tiny Wings
Breakfast:
- 2 pork bellies, 1 egg
- Bit of green pepper
- 1 spoon yogurt, berries
- Espresso
Commentary before lunch:
I considered going to Sookk so I could sit and peruse my scores, but the thought of having Sookk again bored me. Instead I went shopping and came home for lunch.
It is interesting how food habits can change. For example, the other day after my workout in the park, I felt it would be too late to buy and cook food, so I decided to eat out. Just a month ago, after a full day of work and working out I would have craved something salty like nachos. The idea crossed my mind, but now nachos didn’t seem like they’d be satisfying. I didn’t have to reject the idea, it just didn’t appeal to me. (That was the night I went to Sookk and had that unpleasant noodle experience!)
It is nice to see habits change for variety’s sake, rather than for the sake of purging “bad” habits.
