Done:
  • Slept from 0100h to 0800h (~ 7 hrs)
  • Getting a piano widget
  • Looking up cafes to work in
  • Breakfast
  • A little Tiny Wings — starting to get over it
  • Reading a little Netty to start the day off right :)
  • Revising JAW60
  • Brushing and out into the world!
  • Took de Vany's advice on posture and walking — it really does change the way you move through the world!  Incidentally, I've never felt so comfortable walking in 94° heat.
  • Chatting with a German girl at Max Caffé
  • Snack
  • What exactly makes talkative (or bossy) people sound that way?  Part of it is the loudness/piercing quality of the voice itself, but part also may be that everything they say (including questions) have a sort of downward inflection that makes each utterance seem self-contained and final.
  • Read through Tosca away from the piano — very satisfying!
  • LT crossword (finished all but one clue!)
  • Home again, dinner
  • LAT crossword (ew)
    • An observation:  After nine months of doing the NYT crossword puzzle almost every day, I now haven’t done it in 16 days!  I’ve got them all saved, though.
  • Exercise:  3 reps of the following:  20 pushups (different depths, speeds, and arm position); 20–30 crunches (PX90 forms, careful to engage abs on descent); 20–30 knee bends (arms in front, small hop after every 5); 20–30 calf raises (varying slow and fast) — 30+30+30s forearm/feet planks
  • Shower, teeth, shower (!)
  • Bed, Tiny Wings

Breakfast:
  • A few grapes
  • Chicken fillet stir-fry with broccoli, onion, and big chunks of garlic
  • Espresso
Snack:
  • Half-spoon of yogurt
  • Berries
Snack (more like lunch, really):
  • Greek yogurt with sour cherries, blueberries, and strawberries
  • Antipasti plate with prosciutto, salame, mozzarella, and artichoke (is it possible these aren't canned?)
Dinner:
  • Baby octopus, pan-fried in sesame oil and a little soy sauce
  • Salad  (arugula, celery, cucumber)
Dessert:
  • A handful of grapes
  • 3 square chocolate
  • Cashews
  • 1 celery, lettuce
  • 1 broccoli stalk
