- I wrote in my post the other day that if there’s an area of my life that deserves more balance, I should keep track of it. So, I will do this with my sleep-times, because I definitely have the desire to go to bed early as well as late, and right now only the latter desire is being served.
- Should I do that through the blog, or on my calendar? Right now my calendar is pretty loaded up with information. But so is the blog!
- I think what I will do is stop logging my internet time for now. To be honest, I’m really not sure why I’ve been doing it! I’m perfectly happy right now with the balance of how I use time on the computer.
- Maybe that’s too hasty: I suppose I shouldn’t so quickly forget how nice it’s been to have avoided Facebook and OkCupid lately! But still, for now I would like to focus on sleep-times, so this is the approach I’ll take.
- Humans are natural mimics! That means on a busy day, we are likely to act hectic and rushed, not because it helps us, but because we like to be in sympathy with our surroundings. Today I am going to try to do just the opposite! It’s going to be a busy day, but I’m going to try to do everything slowly, in my own time. (That means I’ll be late for my first tutoring session, but I’ve already emailed them to tell them that.) An exciting experiment!

- I rarely take warm or hot showers anymore. Cold showers now feel ‘normal’ to me, and warm/hot showers feel sort of luxurious — and honestly a little too sleepy!
- Dinner and chatting on OkCupid
- Is this a possible connection? I thought it was a nice chat; she said that talking to me was the highlight of her (admittedly awful) day! But these things are so often non-starters, so I really shouldn’t expect much.
