Done:
Breakfast:
- Up at 1025h
- Internet: OkCupid check
- Pinged two singer friends (no response)
- Caught up on emails!
- Refunding MetroCard
- Grocery shopping (tomatoes, cucumber, spinach, apple; bacon, salmon; monterey jack, butter, yoghurt; trash bags; coffee)
- Breakfast
- Chatting with Monica
- Played Don Giovanni overture and first two numbers
- Played through the first movement of the Divertimento ! So much better the second time around. I notice my leger lines on alto clef are a little shaky — that’s probably because it was the first new clef I learned.
- ETAC with Apurva
- Lunch and TV (Internet: OkCupid)
- Creuzburg #11
- Tutoring
- Analyzed first movement of V mlhách away from the keyboard
- Tea and snack
- Playing first movement of V mlhách as much from memory as possible
- Cooking dinner, eating and TV (stopped watching TV — I don’t want to spend my evening watching The Apprentice...)
- Second movement of the Divertimento — extremely rough going for some reason with alto clef, so I’m gonna swing back to some earlier Creuzburg exercises
- Creuzburg early alto-clef exercises, then #11–15. Observation: Reading tonal music with multiple clefs is a completely different beast from reading the linear music of Medieval and Renaissance eras
- Starting a Notes file for my NYOS scenes
- Played Clemenza first recit and duet, and a bit of second recit and duet (need to review translation in a few places)
- Translated beginning of Bohème Act II
- Exercise and Jamie chat
Breakfast:
- Espresso
- Yoghurt + garlic + tomato + cucumber
- Bacon + egg
- Yoghurt + blackberries + blueberries
- Salad: spinach and arugula, red and green pepper, cold pork (1/2 chop), pecorino, olive oil
- A few almonds, piece of gum
- A few almonds, apple and monterey jack
- Remaining 1/2 pork chop, garlic, Brussels sprouts
- Almonds, cheese, two squares of chocolate
